Ok loves! So what’s all the buzz about this New Mothers Days Trio that doTERRA just came out with here recently? I’ve been using them now for a few weeks and keeping it all to myself, so I figured it was time to share my finds with ya’ll and give a little info on the uses and benefits on these 3 oils 🙂

Kumquat

This one is cold pressed from the peel & has a citrus clean, fresh and sweet aroma all in one! Can you say yes?! It was deff my second fav in the trio. Like many citrus essential oils it’s main component is limonene which I’m sure ya’ll know all the wellness benefits of what this does in lemon juice! So far my fav way to use this one is by adding a few drops to my spring water. It is native to Asia, the size of a large olive & can be eaten with the peel on. It can be used aromatically, internally, topically and neat (without dilution).

Here are some of it’s benefits:

  • Supports a healthy cardiovascular, digestive, immune, metabolic & nervous system
  • Uplifts the mood, refreshes the mind & helps to open up new perspectives when tackling daily challenges
  • Cleanses surfaces, air, inside & outside the body. It makes a wonderful addition to my DIY natural & green sanitizing wipes & gives it a cleansing boost! Give it a go and let me know what you think below in the comments 🙂
  • The stimulating aroma promotes a boost of energy

Here are some ways to use it:

  • Add a drop to your facial cleanser, shampoo or toothpaste for amplified cleansing action
  • Combine with lemon, lime, & wild orange essential oil
  • Diffuse to cleanse the air & energize the mood
  • Add a few drops to your water for an uplifted mood

—> caution: Avoid sun exposure for at least 12 hrs after topical application. This oil is photosensitive.

Red Mandarin

This one is my absolute fav because it is the sweetest citrus oil & is slightly floral which makes it perfect in some drinking water. It just puts me in a peachy mood. Like Kumquat it is cold pressed from the peel and it’s main component is limonene. It is known as the tandor & temple orange. It can be used aromatically, internally, topically and neat (without dilution).

Here are some of it’s benefits:

  • Uplifts the mood
  • Clarifies & tones the skin
  • Beneficial to the digestive tract
  • Blends well with floral, wood, spice & herb essential oils
  • Eases tension
  • Improves the appearance of oily skin
  • Can be used to purify the skin & the air

Here are some ways to use it:

  • Diffuse in the morning to give a boost of energy
  • Take 2-3 drops internally to support a healthy digestive tract
  • Add a few drops to your daily toner or cleanser for healthy skin
  • Add to a diffuser to purify the air
  • Add to a DIY foaming hand soap… recipe soon to come 🙂

—> Caution- None.

Sunny Citrus

Not to harp on this one but honestly it is my least fav of the three. It is still a nice blend though. I think it’s not on my jam list as I haven’t figured out what to do with it yet or played with oils it blends well with. It has a minty, sweet & fresh citrus smell. The blend consists of fractionated coconut oil, grapefruit, orange peel & peppermint essential oils.

Here are some of it’s benefits:

  • Positively effects the mood
  • Reduces stress & uplifts the mood
  • Promotes increased confidence
  • Freshens & purifies the air
  • Helps to elevate the mood

Here are some ways to use it:

  • Diffuse in the morning while getting ready to start your day off energetically & uplifted
  • Rub on wrists, over the heart chakra & temples for an uplifting boost. Read about how you can use essential oils for chakra healing here 🙂

—> Caution- This oil is only to be used topically & aromatically.

So there you have it! All the uses of the Mothers day trio oils. I’d love to hear below in the comments what you think of these oils & if you’ve used them your fav way 🙂

If you have found any of this to be helpful or know someone who would love this share & like.

Oh and don’t forget to pin it 😉

Love & Light,
